Dr. Berger Discusses The Importance of Cancer Screening on WVEC-TV (VIDEO)

A Hampton Roads couple were both diagnosed with colorectal cancer within a week of each other.

While that’s tragic news, a real tragedy would have been evading diagnosis and finding cancer when it was too late.

Two patients treated by Dr. Keith Berger both survived their diagnosis, and they shared that experience with WVEC TV-13.  The Wilkinson family is grateful for the medical care they received at Virginia Colonoscopy, and they now speak up on the importance of colonoscopy and cancer screening.

Early detection saves lives. Colorectal cancer is the #2 cause of cancer death in the United States. It’s also the third most frequently diagnosed cancer in the US.

Colorectal cancer is now the leading cause of cancer death in men under 50. If you’re 45 or older, or if your family has a history of colorectal cancer, you need to consult a physician and consider contacting us to book a consultation.

“The way (the procedure) is done now with anesthesia techniques, you don’t even know anyone had did anything to you,” Dr. Berger explained. “Ten minutes… you’re out for nice little nap.”
